disneyprncess1986: Just recently had a discussion with my friend about why Lily ended up with James when for the longest time he was basically a bully to Snape her best friend at the time. I told her people change, I know I’m not the same person I was in high school, and that Lily saw something in James that was always there, and it just took a while for her to see it. What do you think made Lily see James different.
(( OOC: I don’t think it was any one event… I think Lily spent a LOT of time with James. They basically grew through their teen years together. As soon as you’re sorted into a house, the people in that house become the people you spend most of your time with, and although Lily had friends outside of Gryffindor, she was constantly around the marauders. In spite of them not becoming close until around 7th year, Lily probably got to know the marauders REALLY well. I’m sure she saw the side of James that was so concerned about his friends, that was willing to do pretty much anything for them… she had a chance to see his good qualities, as well as his potential, and when he finally starts to turn things around in 7th year, it might have been that she was waiting for him to get his head out of his ass, and once he did, she was like… aight. I got this. *cracks knuckles* ))
